SEA YOU AROUND

Sea You Around explores my personal relationship with the sea, reflecting on my experiences growing up as a young woman in Devon, U.K. In this mini-series, I present photographs in a range of vibrant colours alongside black-and-white images, each reflecting the mood I was in when the photograph was taken. Colour represents happiness, while black-and-white reflects darkness. Through this contrast, I aim to convey the emotional scale of my everyday life.

The images were captured along the coast of South Wales, which was the only constant in my life while I was growing up. The video component of the series tells the story of how, once we stop and slow down, we are able to improve ourselves from the inside out, ultimately leading to a happier and more fulfilling life.
